About The Mortons, our Family & your's
Hello and welcome,
I am attempting to make this family tree for my children and my family members so they can see a little bit of history about their family, and where we all came from.
If by chance you think some where down the line you are related to any of these people please let me know and we might get some more details happening.

So far most of the information has come from the assistance, of a family member, MR John Capp who arranged a family reunion in Victoria on the 12th of october 2002, from that and my own research I have been able to find out some family information and history of The Morton family that came from Ireland many years ago,

Also I have recently come across research and information relating to the Mortons who Moved to Canada "will update as I go along"

Also as I go I intend to add about a ship wreak of
The Earl of Charlemont which sailed from Liverpool on 13th March, 1853 with 366 passengers plus crew. The Captain was William Gardner - his first port of call in Australia was to be Port Phillip Bay before taking the majority of his passengers to Sydney. On the ship records are these members of the MORTON family,
John MORTON - age 50 , Anne Eliza CUMINE (MORTON) - age 48 Their children
 James MORTON 34
 Fanny MORTON 21
 George MORTON 24
 Mary Ann MORTON 19
 Emily Morton 16
 Robert MORTON 15
 Selina MORTON 10
 Walter MORTON 8

also on the list are the names of Ann Elisa MORTON 23 and Ann MORTON 21 going on my research I would say these are children from John's first marriage and will come back to this at a later date...

please feel free to have a look around and maybe use this link to make your own family tree.
 Thanks have fun Simone...

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
